071921 - We sailed today on our 2nd Fluke Marathon trip of the season and everyone aboard enjoyed a day of excellent fishing. We headed off to the deep and found good drifting conditions and the BITE WAS ON !!! Although the drift in the deeper water required 8, 10 and even 12 oz. sinkers at times, everyone was able to get it done and was rewarded with some really nice keeper fluke and some of the biggest seabass we have seen in a while. Matt Schwartz of Springfield, NJ took the pool honors with a 4 lb. 15 oz. fish, as well as boating his limit of both fluke and seabass. Jim Anderson, Pete Turton, Paul Steiner, Jim Fells, Melanie Fazio, Guy Favorito, Ken Peters, Joe Carella, Gene Schultz and Tommy Garofalo all caught their limit of really nice fluke, many of which were 20+ inches. Nobody aboard had less than two keeper fluke today and the seabass padded the coolers. We will back at it tomorrow sailing at 7:30 am. Bring some heavier sinkers with you. Al and I will see you in the morning. Our August 2nd Fluke Marathon is fully booked. We are now taking reservations for the August 16th Marathon Trip. Call the office of email to secure your spot. 732-541-2169 email:
