We made our last tog trip of the season today with a good group of EB II tog regulars and are now done fishing for the winter. We would like to thank everyone who fished with us this season from our long-time regulars to the first timers for making 2019 such an enjoyable year with great people and many lasting memories. We will be back to fishing for the 2020 season sometime in April and look forward to seeing you all then!! Check our fishing reports from time to time over the winter as we will be posting additional diving videos as well as the newest edition of our annual diving photos gallery in the near future.
There was good tog action with light wind and a flat ocean for the guys who came down on a very nice day. Plenty of short action to keep the guys busy while they picked their keepers out of the mix. We ended up with limits, a couple with three nice fish each and the rest with at least two keepers each. We also ended up with FOUR legal codfish which were a pleasant and welcomed surprise on the inshore grounds! Vin Doffatt, North Arlington, took the pool. Click on "Read more" for additional pictures. We will NOT be fishing tomorrow with the gale wind forecast. SAILING 7:00 AM DAILY (Weather Permitting).
With the exception of some fog It was a flat calm and productive day on the blackfish grounds for the guys who came out today. They had steady fishing with the usual keeper and short action and they ended up with a few limits, a few with three keepers each etc.. The fellas using jigs had an edge with nicer fish today. Bill Higginson, Flemington, had a limit which included the pool fish. Gale wind forecast for tomorrow so we will NOT be fishing. The next fishable days look like either Monday and/or Tuesday. SAILING 7:00 AM DAILY (Weather permitting).
