Saturday was a very nice day on the ocean with good conditions. Made several drops with fellas in the bow having most of the action picking at the shorts with a few keepers but otherwise a very tough day overall for a big gang. Ed Bialik, Woodbridge, took the pool with one of his keepers. Today was better fishing for both keepers and shorts as were able to sit and build up the life. The size of the fish got better as the easterly wind started to increase with mostly keepers by the end of the day. Charles Aull, Keyport, took the pool with one of his four keepers. Weather looks like crap the next two days and we DO NOT sail on New Years Day so our next trip will be TH...
Nice conditions today for a group of mostly EB II regular toggers. The guys had plenty of short action throughout the day but had to work hard for their keepers. We had big head boats from both Pt Pleasant and Belmar fishing right next to us all day and everyone seemed to have the same fishing. We had our first codfish of the season and Vin Doffont, North Arlington, took the pool. Click on "Read more" for additional pictures. Weather looks very nice for Saturday and Sunday so take advantage of it! Back at it tomorrow. Sailing 7:00 AM. See you in the morning.
After a day off yesterday for the holiday it was nice to get back on the water. We started off inshore but there was not enough action to keep us there. Pushed off a little deeper and the guys went to work the rest of the day. It was good fishing on mixed size togs with multiple limits and everyone else having at least four keepers each. Mike Stefanowicz, Keansburg, led the way once again. Weather looks good once again for tomorrow and we have guys coming down so join them. SAILING 7:00 AM. See you in the morning.
A nice group of mostly regulars took advantage of the warm weather today. The fellas had good short action but there were not enough bigger fish like the past few days. Ed Bialik, Woodbridge, had three keepers which included the pool fish. The forecast sounds good again for tomorrow. SAILING 7:00 AM. See you in the morning. WE ARE NOT SAILING CHRISTMAS DAY.
