CATCH FLUKE ON MEMORIAL DAY!
We did not even attempt to sail today with this persistent North East wind and rain. We ARE sailing tomorrow on our summer holiday schedule of 6AM to 1PM. We will hit the dock tomorrow at 1PM, so you can make it home in time to barbecue. We have a few guys who called to confirm they are coming down and the weather forecast looks nice with the wind diminishing and coming around to the North West. Hope to see you in the morning. Captain Stan.
NO FISHING TOMORROW
Hey guys we will NOT be fishing tomorrow (Saturday) with the wind and rain forecast so stay home. The weather looks much better with lighter winds on Sunday and ESPECIALLY Monday so come on down and enjoy your holiday weekend at the shore. SAILING 6:00 AM BOTH DAYS and our normal 1:00 PM weekend return time will have you home early for your holiday barbecues. Mike and I will see you on Sunday!
IT'S GETTING BETTER!
Better fluking today than we have had the past couple of days. Found an area with some fish and worked it most of the day. High hooks each went home with two keepers and the short action was our best thus far. "Big John" Porada, Pompton Lakes, took the pool with one of his keepers. The weather for Friday looks FINE and we will be fishing tomorrow. We know of guys coming down already so come join them. Sailing 7:30 AM. See you in the morning.
TOUGH FISHING TODAY!
Tough fishing for a group of our weekday fluke regulars. The south wind started early and cranked up by mid-day which did not help us today. The guys ended up with a handful of keepers and some shorts for their efforts. Almost all of the fish that we have had the past few days have come from the shallowest of waters in our bay and almost all of these have been caught on natural bait with the large gulps and spros not getting much love so far. Weather looks nice the next c
