We will be spending time togging tomorrow since the porgies and seabass fishing has been slow since the big blow we had early in the week. We WILL have squid and clams onboard if those fish turn back on but we will also have green crabs for those of you who want some light tackle fun with the togs. SAILING 7:00 AM. The ocean was nasty the past couple of days from the easterly wind and there was still a big swell this afternoon. We will take a pass tomorrow (WEDNESDAY) to let the ocean and swell settle down in order to give you guys a better chance of catching something. We will be looking to fish on THURSDAY! Blackfishing was good this weekend with everyone keeping their limit and releasing plenty of others until the official season opens. When the guys had their fill we checked several areas for seabass. There was plenty of action on the spots and the guys wound up with some for the coolers but the bulk of the seabass were short the past couple of days. If you did not make it out today then you missed a gorgeous day on the water. Our catch consisted of seabass, blowfish, triggerfish, tog and an out-of-season fluke today. The morning was best before the change of tide when the bite slowed. The guys were happy with the keeper ratio of the seabass today. Hopefully the wind will cooperate tomorrow and we will be back out on the grounds. SAILING 7:00 AM.
